Studio for SALE

The Yamaha 02R was the very first all-digital console and it quite revolutionized the audio industry. It is a very sophisticated console but is programmed with a few basic setups that will get just about any job done.

Audix Studio 1A Monitors are clean and uncoloured.

For clean and uncoloured speakers, you need a powerfully fine amplifier. The Alesis RS 300 is ample power to impress all your clients.

Otari 2 Track Reel to Reel   This is what I learned to edit on with a razor blade. For 15 years I "spliced and diced" and refined my editing skills. It's console housed and still in decent shape.

Digitech Studio 5000 located below Aphex Aural Exciter Type C2 in rack.

The Studio 5000 is an effects box that has its own unique sound.  The Aural Exciter adds harmonics, restoring the sounds natural brightness, clarity and presence, effectively improving detail and intelligibility. Using the Aural Exciter on specific
instruments and /or in the final mix brings life back to the
recording.

A production house is as good as the product it produces.
With this studio come over 600 cd's from some of the
best music libraries out there:
KPM, Sonoton, Carlin, Bruton and Firstcom.
Before using any of these, a relationship would
have to be made with APM Music who would licence the music.

96 point patchbay can be wired to connect any of your outboard gear to the console.

Oktava MK219
is a very decent sounding mic for voiceover. With the right eq it could sound almost like a Neumann.

When you have one of these really long editing sessions, you can stretch out on this nice long couch.

A very important part of the daily grind is the chair you sit on. This one's a beauty. Ergonomically designed to help your back. This one cost over $700 !

Calling all “Closet Audio” video producers.

Voice talent often tell tales of having to spend hours sweating and uncomfortable in a tiny closet with no air conditioning and not much room to voice a script and the only way of getting any direction from the producer is when they come around the corner and open the door. Then, recording often has to stop because the dog next door is barking or a neighbor is mowing the lawn.

Well, when you’re finally tired of compromising the project and are ready for your audio to match the high quality of the pictures you shoot, there’s a pretty decent studio going to be available for sale at the end of the year with room enough to produce audio and video.
The clients all love the location and often remark on the very pleasant ambience of the space. Being right above La Madeleine is so very convenient and adds much to the atmosphere. Only time you’ll have to stop recording and wait is while the client collects their latte from downstairs.

The address is 3906 Lemmon Avenue, Suite 215.

After running this successful studio in Dallas for 17 years, Gordon Nicol is moving to Santa Barbara around the first of next year. There are still more than a couple of years left on the lease and the landlord assures he’ll be pleased to renegotiate with the new owner.

There’s a total 1251 sq feet

Control  Room             15.5’ x 13’

Studio                          11’ x 9.5’

Office                           16’ x 13’

Reception                     16’ x 13’

Hall                              16’ x 7’

The new owner will inherit a digital Yamaha 02R audio console with table and side unit, completely wired and ready to go. Just open the fader and the included Octava mic (setup in the booth) will be ready to record your first project. From the producer’s table/countertop, you’ll be able to activate the talkback mic and direct the talent with a clear view through the control room window giving open and unobstructed communication.

The air-conditioned booth is very roomy and quiet with double paned glass. Many of Dallas’s finest announcers have been in this booth and more than a few have been very pleased with the sound. A sound that will satisfy even the most demanding New York audiobook producers. There’s room enough for as many as four announcers or even a small band. A few of the names who have recorded there you might recognize are Dr. James Balch (Nutritional Healing),  Kurt Eichenwald - The Informant, Michael Johnson - Olympic athlete,  Mary Mapes - Truth or Duty; Christopher Reeves, LeeAnne Womack

Lots of office place and it’s quite feasible to have another person sharing and using the reception as their office. There’s an area 8’ x 7’ that could easily be used as an edit bay and there’s your own personal rest room. The other tenants get a little jealous of that : )
